smart car

what do you ladies think about the smart car? I know only two seats...that is the one thing that makes me hesitate, but its super safe, environmentally sound, and perfect for city driving. they drive them all over Europe!! I dunno what la mere will think though. Its cheap too! only about $12,000!! thoughts?!??

Did you guys watch the Republican "response" to Obama's speech last night? You must watch the highlights here! I love a good conservative implosion/self-destruction tv appearance, but this rivaled Palin's Couric interview. Why did he sound like he was telling bedtime stories to a bunch of mentally insufficient 5th graders? (Oh wait, he was speaking to the Republican base...) I couldn't stop laughing. Even the Fox commentators were hard pressed to say anything nice about it. I cannot wait for the primaries to see him debate Palin!

This book totally rocked!

I know it's only Feb but this is totally my favorite book so far this year. Completely surreal and awesome, its not quite like anything else out there. Its kind of like a classic detective story as told by Terry Gilliam and Tim Burton.

I totally teared up during Dustin Lance Black's acceptance speech. "When I was 13 years old, my beautiful mother and my father moved me from a conservative Mormon home in San Antonio, Texas, to California, and I heard the story of Harvey Milk. And it gave me hope. It gave me the hope to live my life; it gave me the hope that one day I could live my life openly as who I am and that maybe even I could fall in love and one day get married." Why can't the whole country be more like Massachusetts?
