Darling Esmee,

I was beyond excited to see a brown box on the kitchen table when I got home tonight. I was even more excited to see it had my name on it! Of course my excitement continued with the THREE packages that were waiting inside for me!!! (Dodie, in case she didn't tell you she got me a beautiful picture frame - which will soon hold pictures of you both, a gorgeous blue box with gold detail and a lovely green dish). You know me so well, they are exactly what I wanted. They are so totally my taste and the way I want my apt to look. Just beautiful little things that make it look classy and grown up (but useful too!). So so so much better than a brown mat. I absolutely love them and they came at the perfect time when everything seems so dark, they brightened up my day.

Love you so so much! You are both the most important people in the world to me and always will be. I miss you both terribly right now and cannot wait to see you soon!

Today was a truly sad day at work. we are all devastated

The Only Good Thing About The Writers Strike...

The only issue I've ever had with The Daily Show was the amount of time spent on the weird skits and side interviews that tend to be uncomfortable and often not at all funny (with the notable exception of Paul Rudd's re-enactment of the farmer who resuscitated a chicken using mouth-to-mouth). But now the show is basically broken down into two parts:
1.) Jon Stewart making fun of the news and saying whatever random shit that pops into his head and
2.) The main interview with people like the crazy dude who wrote "Liberal Fascism" and thinks that organic food is the food of the nazis.

Anyways, I once again have a car (one that drives better than my poor previous car ever did) and that means I once again have access to wifi via panera, and well, the libary. Well, I have to go pack some more and then sit through one of la mere's concerts. If I survive this ordeal, I'll write more later.

I especially like that it is clearly cold enough in this picture that needed to wear long sleeves under his hoodie and yet still chose to wear one of his hoodies where he inexplicably cut the sleeves off. so confusing and yet so bizarrely awesome!
