La Mere: Your father has screwed up my computer, so I think you need to date a tech geek so they can come over and fix it.

Me: I, uh...um what?

La Mere: It could be a guy or a girl. Doesn't matter. And you wouldn't even have to date that long, they'd understand why you were dumping them because they're a nerd and probably used to it.

love the vf hollywood issue

so i finally got around to buying the hollywood VF issue and absolutely love the hitchcock re-enactment photos. surprised how many hitchcock films i've actually seen. though never did see lifeboat. my absolute fave photo was the strangers on a train.

where are the honeybees?

so must admit that i thought i was the only person in america concerned that millions of honey bees have disappeared and no one can even find their bodies. felt it was all too apocalyptic for words. but guess m night agrees with me. check out the trailer with the awesome mark wahlberg.

Beloved brideshead

So, I still have not ever finished reading the new version of the script, its just too disturbing for me. But since there were pics in the new VF of the new cast, here is a pic of beloved old Charles and sebastian and all the new cast. new trailers to be excited about (long post)

1). STOP-LOSS - I am admitedly sick to death of the Iraq war movies but this is a really good trailer so I am hoping that the movie turns out good too. Has a great cast (including a small part with my beloved Tim O!!!) http://www.apple.com/trailers/paramount/stoploss/

3). SON OF RAMBOW - I think that this is actually a more disturbing and sad movie than the trailer makes out but hopefully I am wrong. Looks odd but adorable. The kids are cute and it seems to have at least a few laughs.

5). ROMULUS MY FATHER - I have NO IDEA what is going on in this movie other than it has Eric Bana (whom I adore and hope isn't douchy in real life) and Franka Potente (whom I think we all adore). I think I have heard this is good but I really don't know much about it...

6). SNOW ANGELS - directed by my favorite David Gordon Green and starring Sam Rockwell. Looks disturbing and kinda the type of film you can only stand to watch once. But still, good (although lacking in Paul Schneider, my fav actor from DGG's earlier films. adore him!)

um, seriously. why would she think this was ever a good project to put her client in? i mean, the title alone should alert you to the badness to come. From Empire, "Josh Hartnett has been cast in the lead role in Bunraku. He'll play a nameless, vengeful drifter in an alternate universe. The film is described as a "spaghetti-Western-samurai-gangster mashup". According to Variety's report, inspirations for the film, which will be directed by Guy Moshe, range from Japanese puppet theatre to German expressionism to video games."
